Yahoo founder Jerry Yang Backward

San Francisco - shocking news came from Yahoo!. They announced that company co-founder; Jerry Yang has retreated from the Board of Directors and all other positions in the company.

“The Council has also retreated from Yahoo! Japan and Alibaba Group Holding,” the company said in a press release.

Which itself, has brought it officially on the Board of Directors of Yahoo!. ”The period of my work at Yahoo!, from since its establishment until now has given me experience the most exhilarating and fun in my life. However, it was time for me to pursue other desires outside of Yahoo!,” Yang said in a letter to Chairman of the Board, Roy Bostock.

“After I left the participating companies I founded nearly 17 years ago, I really like Scott Thompson was appointed Chief Executive Officer because of his ability, and I’m sure the whole team would guide Yahoo! Yahoo! leadership into the future is exciting and gives the results,” he said .

Which served as a member of the Board of Directors of Yahoo! since him and David Filo, together, founded the company in 1995. He became chief executive officer from June2007 until January 2009.

The departure comes just two weeks after Yahoo! hired former PayPal executive Scott Thompson as its new CEO, Xinhua reported Wednesday morning.

He is reported to have become a hinder Microsoft’s efforts to have Yahoo! in 2008 with a value of 47.5 billion U.S. dollars.

Beginning in January, Yang also reportedly told a major private equity firm that he and other members of the Yahoo! Board will not support efforts to takeover the whole company.

Some Yahoo! shareholders have been calling for the resignation.
